Finding Vintage Fat Chef Items

The little character referred to as our Fat Chef friend has been around for many years. So if you enjoy a vintage look, but still want to include the Fat Chef in your kitchen, have no fear. He is available.

This is the time to shop antique stores and flea markets, yard sales and estate sales along with your own family’s attics. If you want to find a real deal, but are willing to do any restoration work, yard and estates sales are your best bet along with those attics. Some people are quite handy with doing a clean up and returning the item to its original look. Others are not so good at that.

When you can’t or don’t want to do restoration work, antique stores and flea markets may be a better choice for you. Not always, but usually the owners of these kinds of shops and booths will do the restoration work themselves. The cost will be higher. You are paying for the value of the item as well as the work to restore it. But, it may be worth it for you.

Don’t be afraid to try online auction places like eBay as well. Fat Chef Kitchen Accessories has a nice selection of more modern choices as well as an option to view eBay items.

Vintage can be mixed with more modern looks as well. Create vignettes with small groupings of items mixing both modern kitchen accessories with you newly-acquired vintage Fat Chef items. You will have a charming look and get lots of compliments from your guests.

Excellent idea! I have actually seen a few Fat Chef’s for sale at yard sales and in a vintage booth I frequent. Prices aren’t bad at all and if gives another route for filling my kitchen with those adorable fat chefs!
